Delete your Ritikal account

A Ritikal account is optional. It exists only if you signed in, with an email link or with Google, to use cloud sync or AI features. Here is how to delete it, and what deletion removes.

Option 1: In the app (immediate)

Open Ritikal and tap the profile icon in the top bar.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm. For your security you may be asked to sign in again with a link sent to your email.

Option 2: By email (if you no longer have the app)

Send an email to sunya.shuvashis@gmail.com with the subject "Ritikal account deletion", from the email address you signed in with, so we can confirm the account is yours. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

Your account and sign-in identity, including your email address
Every record synced to the cloud: tasks, events, recurrence rules, notes, journal entries, transactions, EMI schedules, lend/borrow records (including any contact name and phone number on them), and vault item details
Your linked-device list
Your AI usage counter

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We keep no copies for any other purpose. The only trace left is in our database provider's routine backups, which roll over on their normal schedule (typically within 7 days) and are never used to restore a deleted account.

What is not affected

Data on your phone. Records stored on your device stay there, so you can keep using Ritikal offline. To remove them too, delete them in the app or uninstall Ritikal.
Backup files you exported. .ritikal files you saved or shared are yours; delete them wherever you put them.
SMS messages and vault documents. These never leave your device, so there is nothing of them on our side to delete.

You can also delete individual records at any time without deleting your account: delete them in the app while signed in, and the deletion syncs.
